If You Think Things Are Bad, Crisfield Has Raw Sewage Coming INTO Many Homes

We have been receiving calls left and right from residents of Crisfield stating they have raw sewage coming into their homes. Many cannot take showers, toilets overflowing and very unsanitary conditions.

We have confirmation that town employees are simply off for the weekend and there's no light at the end of the tunnel for residents any time soon.

Leaders there are claiming this is happening in Salisbury, Snow Hill and other areas, all of which are not true. Other leaders are complaining to citizens for saying anything on Facebook. To that representative, BITE ME! In fact, you should be thrown out of office and clearly you are not having to live with raw crap coming into your home. I can't think of anything worse when it comes to living conditions.

We have contacts at the MDE, let's see how you like this exposure now.

Well, what do you expect, after all, it is Crisfield.

That's why we're all moving to fruitland

Crisfield leaders reprimand citizens for speaking against them. That is why they have a 315' industrial wind turbine.

I hope you arae joking about Fruitland!!! I live there and you better be prepared for insane water bills and taxes!!

Water bill is 278$ in fruitland

Anonymous said...

278 a month ?

If you are moving to Fruitland be prepared have your vehicle aligned in about 30 days. you will be exposed to the worst street conditions on the shore. have no idea where tax dollars are going but its not on street repair.

What do you expect , it's Crisfield .... I loathe that comment .. I see it on the daily. Come up with some new material. You don't HAVE to come nor live here .. No gun is to your head so either leave or just don't come and keep your nasty comments with you wherever you are .

That's the EBTs favorite place to eat!

Crisfield leaders have nothing to do with fixing the issue and neither does the wind turbine but city workers are on the job as we type.

At least Fruitland has public works employees on call on the weekends to take care of any emergencies. Someone came to my house on a Saturday for a water problem before.

The water/sewer bills in Fruitland are quarterly.

I agree with 8;49. On my street there are three pot holes that have been ignored for over two years. You should see drivers swerving to miss them. Fruitland has become a college rental town and they could care less. The only things that get attention are the ones slum lords bring up.Sad to see a once class town go to hell like this.

Less them 100 a month for water sewer n garbage pick up not bad. Roads not so much bang for my tax buck. Put hey they are shovel ready right?

To all who are complaining about things in Fruitland, go to a council meeting, ask your questions and get the correct answers, not your assumptions. Many roads are scheduled to be repaved within the two months. Water rates have been adjusted for those residents who use less. Tax rates have not increased. A veterans tax rebate has been put in place. Next council meeting is October 11 at 7:30

Well living on a low lying iare...be aware of your surrounding., not to be disgusting...but that looks like there is a clogg in the main line to do that..or constant flushing
You also need to be aware of tides..no you all can't resume your natural routine when it's been water everywhere..be mindful of how much you flush at high tide,no laundry, shower at low tide
If this is true of the crisfield employees, they should be ashamed of themselves, but I doubt this is the case....it's called overtime and I'm sure everyone likes time and half in their check
As for Fruitland movers??save money...your water bill is twice then Salisbury.
This is happening everywhere..we have been under major waterfall...
We can't expect everything to resume to normalcy

I lived in fruitland. The water an sewer bills were awful an so was most of rent. An yes it turned to college rentals like salisbury. I have nothing against college kids. But that's all business people care about.

Crisfield's trash truck was on the brink and they couldn't afford one how can they fix anything else?

Anonymous said...

This used to happen in Salisbury's Camden district with some regularity before the sewer and stormwater drains were separated. There's nothing like having six inches of other peoples' pee and poop in your basement.

The city is responsible for water and sewer and installing the wind turbine. If there is a problem with either, it is their job to correct it. Having other people's sewage spewing out of ones toilet is not acceptable no matter what the weather conditions. The water sewer plant was chosen for this location and if I recall correctly, the Federal government paid 100% for it to the tune of $10 million dollars. Shortly after it was built, city officials admitted they could not afford to pay the electric cost to run it. Observers said it has to be pumped out on a regular basis, and there are less than 3,000 people in city limits.

This never happened when folks had their own septic systems. Another example of government knowing best and forcing people to hook up to public sewer and then they can't handle it. Government fails at just about everything it attempts to do and they spend ten times the money doing it than a private company would.

Brown Street in Fruitland is terrible. Entirely too much traffic. The good news is they are going to pave it very soon!!

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

At least Fruitland has a King. That's more than I can say for all of the other local small towns.

Luckily they have a well qualified town manager who is 'hands on' so should be remedied quickly!

Anonymous said...

Crisfieldians, eat more fiber... for the sake of your neighbors.

Who is the king?

Anonymous said...

Fruitland used to have a king. For quite some time now he has resided elsewere and his noodle has led him astray so soon to be broke and living in his chariot.

Looks like the toilets out to the sports complex on naylor mill road during the girls world series.
