LGBTQ? Is that some kind of alphabet soup? Back when I was growing up it was just queers. Then they changed to gay, then they added lesbian. Sometime later they added bisexuals and about 5 years ago the transgenders were added. Last year the word "queer" became politically correct again so that was added back in so now we have LGBTQ. What's next, animal molesters? Tree molesters? People who have sex with machines?

WTH does the number "101" mean?

9:23 AM - The number "101" implies that it's a basic course, like a freshman college course that gives background for the 200 to 500 level courses. The term is often misused outside of academia.

Thank you 10:28, I've always wondered about that number, it does get used MUCH too often!

LOL......must not be born that way....LOL have to have instructional classes on how to be gay or transgender..tell them all to get a life.

8:52....back in the day "they" were referred to by a few names that you didn't mention. What I want to know is why come out of the closet. I could care less what their preference is. Seems like they would have fewer problems or concerns if this said preference were kept to themselves.

5.5 CEUs? Kind of generous with the CEU amount for a '101' level anything.

Please don't compare this to a college course! That was an ignorant response.

5.5 CEUs for what??

All this is doing is promoting homosexuality. Maybe the social workers should do their damn jobs and convince these people that they have a serious mental illness.

11:32 & 8:52, part of the reason this is so important is because people keep thinking of these folks as "not normal", and would rather "not hear about it". That's a lot of crap to put up with in one's daily life. One day, hopefully because of programs like this, it will be just as normal a thing and then you won't have to deal with hearing about it anymore! ;0)

Promoting homosexuality implies that it's something people choose as opposed to who God created them to be. The social workers are doing their jobs by reminding them that they are just fine the way they are and don't need our approval.

The only people who think it's normal are the abnormal.
