Comanche County records show 41-year-old Patricia Spann and 25-year-old Misty Spann filed for a marriage license in March 2016.
KSWO reports an investigation into Patricia and Misty Spann began by the Department of Human Services in August.
The investigator tells KSWO that Misty and her brothers were raised by a grandparent after Patricia lost custody of them. Patricia allegedly told the investigator that she didn't believe she was breaking the law because she wasn't listed on Misty's birth certificate.

I in no way agree with this, but how can the government say that it is ok for 2 females to marry each other because they are consenting adults but they will not allow this. They should never reproduce in the case of the mother and son but these 2 can't reproduce so why is the government against this?
