University of Houston Responds To SBYNews Post

The University of Houston is releasing the following statement in regard to media reports about actions taken by the UH Student Government Association against its vice president for comments made on social media.

University of Houston Statement on SGA VP Suspension

The University of Houston has become aware that the Student Government Association (SGA) has suspended its vice president, Ms. Rohini Sethi, from participating in SGA activities. Actions by SGA, a registered student organization subject to its own governance, are not University actions and do not affect the academic standing of a student at the University of Houston. The University of Houston continues to stand firm in support of free speech and does not discipline students for exercising their Constitutional rights.

Official Retort from Mr. Crowe:

I am unmoved and unfazed.

If she is punished in any way for saying, "All Lives Matter" - this is an infringement of Free Speech - thus, a violation of the First Amendment.

SGA is chartered and under guidance of the university. Just another defendant.
