Maryland man charged with witness intimidation

CUMBERLAND — A Cumberland man accused of taking pictures of witnesses during a circuit court trial and posting them online in an attempt to locate and intimidate them was arrested Friday by C3I and the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.

Myren Allan Battle, 31, was charged with two counts of intimidating a witness and six counts of obstruction of justice. He was arrested at circuit court.

Investigators say Battle attended the trial this week on behalf an acquaintance who was standing trial. The photographs were posted to social media sites.

A district court commissioner set Battle's bond at $6,500. He was jailed Friday afternoon in the Allegany County Detention Center, pending his next court appearance.

I guess he wasn't reading the court reports for Wicomico County this past spring.

You want would be justice for this guy. Finding him alone in an alley!

Hope the court makes him a guest of the state for a number of years. Witness intimidation undercuts integrity of judicial system in a big way.
