This Oakland property with a cozy two-bedroom house and detached studio separated by a sea of concrete might not be your dream home.
But if you're looking to squeeze into the hot Bay Area market and have a downpayment saved up, it could provide a doable scenario.
The property was listed earlier this month at $400,000, meaning you need at least $80,000 to put 20 percent down (as long as there isn't a bidding war) and call it your own.

ridiculous, people are idiots to buy into this fake valuation of property.
ridiculous....buy a damn travel trailer for a fifth of the price and park it in an RV park and live like a king!!!!!!
It's called supply and demand....if you live in a hot area where things are happening....not the shore obviously....then yes you will pay stupid money....not saying it's right but it's life.
That would need a cash buyer.
Does it sit on a gold mine for heaven's sake? It better have two bathrooms indoors for that price.
1:33 you are bigger idiot than the guy buying that for that kind of money! Anything on the Chesapeake Bay, Wicomico & Choptank Rivers banks or the Ocean front are a hell of lot more appealing than Oakland, CA......I take it you have not been there in a while.....

True, but Oakland has something that Maryland does not...lots of jobs!
Say "Shed house" real fast.
