A Viewer Writes: Delmarva Online Closing

Joe - not big news with everything else going on in the country, but I got an email from Delmarva Online today that they would be returning my check uncashed as they were shutting the business down.

The also have a notice on their website that they are no longer in business.

Who is (was) Delmarva Online?

I thought they had closed years ago. New computers no longer have dial up anyway.

dialup is still used on many areas of the shore. its the only option

Many people still need dialup.
I've used copper.net for many years. They're very goodwith good pricing. Based in Mt. Vernon, Ohio-- Americans, with good customer service.

Try www.peoplepc.com
Only 9 dollars per month for dial up service and they have a Salisbury number.
I used to have them back in the ninety's.

There is also WMCONNECT. It is very inexpensive.

It's dead, Jim.

At one time they were doing dialup & wireless & DSL, around the same time as ezy.net and some others, some people might be still using those services.

Comcast pretty much obliterated Wisp's in the area.

Might be worth going to Atlantic Broadband and punching in your zip code to see if they're covering your area.

Joe, the only reason I ever went to that site anyway was to read the obituaries. You have all the real news. Just add obits to your site and you will have it all.

Its amazing anybody is surprised. They stopped advertising long ago. There were only 1-2 cars in their parking lot after their sale by Draper. Most of the county switched to cable or DSL more than a decade ago.
