Berlin worked hard to find its theme, and works doubly hard to maintain and grow around it. And it shows.
Salisbury hasn't found a workable theme that can so successfully drive its residents and government toward pulling it together.
(And, no, Crossroads of Delmarva isn't it. And neither (cough) is 'Bury.)
The" Bury" best town for Welfare, drugs, homeless, thugs, robbery, panhandlers, low income housing, filth, porn shops, good ole boys, crime cover up stats, Terrible SPD police chief, overrated fd,filthy river, bars bar bars, low paying jobs, anti business, low property values, high taxes, homeless, walking psychos.
Don't forget about a council member on welfare.
Seriously....2014.....isn't 2016....please get over it already....
With the way the city voting districts have been carved up, there will probably be a non-working welfare recipient on the city council forever.
Laura Mitchell is a fn disgrace.
Is she still on methadone?
Hooray for Berlin we can all applaud this great community I love to walk the streets and go in the shops really unique. Not to mention the movie Run Away Bride was filmed there. I congratulate all that they have done to make it a success.
Unlike the burys city council
4:47-In the 1700's Salisbury fell pray to land owners who only had their interests in mind and no vision of community and/or retail involvement.Hence the chopped up street system that navigated it's way around property boundaries before eminent domain became a reality.200+ years later the same mentality exists, except now eminent domain may not apply to the areas in question. In other words, the fate of our town was sealed upon it's inception. We began with a poor game plan that leans directly in favor of residential vs any other use.
