Creepy Cabin Found Hidden in Public Woods. Once it Was Discovered, Things Got Really Mysterious

Arcata Community Forest in Arcata, California is a public use forest, however camping and lodging in the forest is illegal. So when a resident discovered a creepy, locked up little cabin, seemingly hidden in plain sight, it was certainly a weird occurrence.

The resident notified the local authorities who came out to check out the cabin.

The cabin was similarly colored to its surroundings and was covered with pieces of trees to further disguise it. The resident who discovered it said it wasn’t even discernible as a house until he was almost in touching distance of it.

I feel like all the people who made remarks. Why didn't the person who discovered the little cabin, just leave well enough alone. Maybe someone wanted to go off into the woods, compose for a while, all alone with no one around, just the sounds of nature, and have a little peace in this busy world. They weren't hurting anyone. I hope they find an even more recluse spot and build their little cabin again.

6:40 IT is all about the money plain and simple... No one can live or have a building off the grid without paying the piper... You always pay the piper as a good little slave... Always!!!

Or remember, the cops will make up some story about how you are growing pot or some other excuse to come swat team raid an off the grid building...

Squatters are completely different then living off grid. This is a public forest 100 feet from a trail. Kids and family are their every day. It's not off grid it's creepy.

Everyone should have a little place where they can get away from it all.

Only a jackass would have reported it.

Our government lays claim to huge, state-sized swaths of land—more than 630 million acres, greater than the landmass of Texas, California, Florida and New York combined.

Well, if I saw it, I would report it. What if someone was hiding a kidnapped child or something worse there?
