Subject: Georgia Gov. Vetoes Religious Liberty Bill After Hollywood Threats

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal will veto a religious freedom bill passed by the state legislature that has drawn national criticism for discriminating against same-sex couples, the Republican announced at the state capitol on Monday.

The bill declared that no pastor can be forced to perform a same-sex weddings and was recently passed by the Republican-controlled legislature.

Faith-based groups could not be forced to hire or retain an employee whose beliefs run counter to the organization, while churches and religious schools would have the right to reject holding events for people or groups to whom they object.

Caving in to special interests instead of doing the right thing!
People and businesses should have the right to NOT serve based on their religious beliefs - if the customer doesn't like it go somewhere else where they don't believe!

This is as much preventing you from forcing your beliefs on me as it is me not having to accept your beliefs!

Bad move governor - you'll be held accountable for this...

A sensible move by the governor. Don't start throwing up new Jim Crow laws, it didn't work the last time.
