'God Bless America' Signs Fly After Atheist Group Targets Banner

A Midwestern community has united in a show of patriotism after an atheist organization targeted a local post office’s “God Bless America” poster.

Freedom from Religion Foundation cried foul after the group noticed a “God Bless America” banner that employees at a post office in Pittsburg, Kan., had erected after Sept. 11, 2001. A lawsuit filed by FFRF on behalf of a Pittsburg resident forced the banner down in late January, The Christian Post reported.

But the sign’s removal after nearly 15 years of display had an unintended effect.

I'm thinking that hanging one of those constantly offended by everything atheists (like a banner) would be a fantastic way of introducing them to God.
What is the matter with these sissies? Do they dedicate their lives to wandering around aimlessly, looking for SOMETHING to "offend" them?? Are their dresses starting to bunch up?
It must be hell to live like that, especially when they have to spend money with His name on it and look at all those government buildings with Christian writings on them, and having to drive in a country with churches and crosses everywhere.
But the worst part for them?? Being a whining, unhappy, unwelcome, and irritating loser with no faith in anything, but a strong desire to eliminate faith in others, too. Which ain't happening, to their utter disappointment.
A REALLY sad existence and life.

sigh. Here we go again.

This has ZERO to do with being offended, and everything to do with what is legal. It went to court and was ruled illegal. Not in a public area.

This is why the hundreds of banners on private property are allowed to fly. Because it is legal to do so in those areas.

Also, to correct this misleading report, the signs are not patriotic signs, but rather theocratic proselytization disguised as a patriotic exclamation.

Why does a patriotic exclamation HAVE to be wrapped in a religious message? Can someone explain to me? Why do you religious people HAVE to shoe horn your religion into everything, then get all bent out of shape when you are called to task on it?

@ Imclain

Amidst all of your slander and straw man arguments pointed towards atheists, you really strike me as someone who knows no atheists, and has never listened to one, read any counter apologetics to your viewpoints, nor are knowledgeable about any of their positions or viewpoints.

It's disappointing, really.
