Announcement From Wicomico County Public Schools

This is an updated school safety announcement from Wicomico County Public Schools. Wicomico High School resumed normal operations at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9. School personnel and school system safety staff worked cooperatively with law enforcement after the school received an automated bomb threat message at 12:50 p.m. Students and staff remained safe in place as the school was searched by law enforcement officers and a K-9. Nothing was found. Dismissal will continue as usual. This matter is being handled with the safety of students and staff as our highest priority, and the school system will continue to work with law enforcement on this investigation. Thank you.

Ok let me get this straight. The kids were sheltered in place because they felt that was the safest option.

So if that is the case then why did the search for a bomb and why did they use a K-9 dog that specialized in bomb sniffing.

If you all aren't pissed then something is wrong with you.

Because if they didn't, you'd have nothing to complain about! No matter what the WCBOE does, people are never happy! Work in 5he system and you will see, where it's nit perfect, most of them try their hard3st for the students! Sometines those teachers and schools are all 5hose kids have! Stop throwing stones, your glass house can break too!

The easy answer is that this is the present anthrax fad, only without the anthrax or bomb ever being a thing. Robocalls can go anywhere, and should now be somewhat ignored. Facts are, shelter in place and search, as all past robocall threats were deemed neutral.

I do not know the right answer.
However I do know that if the real thing happens and people are hurt.
Either way it is going to be the wrong answer. It will be too late to change it. Just saying.
