Theft of dozens of propane tanks, purchase of 150 prepaid cell phones in Missouri puts FBI on alert

The FBI has launched an investigation after 150 prepaid mobile phones were bought from local Walmarts in Missouri. This comes after the theft of dozens of propane tanks in the area.

The large number of purchases took place at six Missouri Walmarts at least, authorities say, according to KRCG13.

A large portion of the phones were bought by “three men with accents” at one Walmart near the town of Lebanon, Jefferson City police said. The purchases were made very late, at 3:50am local time on Saturday, authorities said for 59 of the phones. Although the three men were questioned by authorities, nothing further could be done, as there were no grounds for detention.

It was then that the FBI was notified by the Laclede County Sheriff.

The second instance of large purchases was registered on Monday by police in Columbia, two hours north of Lebanon. Five or more men were behind that purchase, which occurred last Friday at 9:30pm.

Retired FBI agent Michael Tabman - is going to be really embarrassed when this plot literally blows up in his face. What a stupid thing to say and it is an obvious slap in the face to local law enforcement.

In this case I would encourage an over reaction, than the blasé faire attitude of some retired dolt.

Come on..."no grounds for detention"?

Surely somebody "had a tag light out", or was "making furtive movements", or was "standing in a manner that indicated he may have.something concealed in his rectum"?

Phone triggered propane IEDs. Cheap, portable, good destruction potential when paired with additional projectiles, and doesn't look out of place in the back of a pickup truck or in a shopping cart at your local Walmart.

Just as Bush grounded ALL air traffic on 911, and is on the record for saying he was prepared to give the order to shoot the American airliner down, a large scale, multiple state terror attack would be a wonderful opportunity to implement all those executive orders obama has signed. You know, the ones that give him absolute (dictatorial powers, actually) control over all communications, energy use and supplies, all transportation modes, and even the power to relocate (by military means if needed) entire sections of the country.
No joke.
Then, there is always martial law, since such an attack may instigate some civil unrest. I mean, they gotta find a use for those billions of rounds they've bought. Somebody was really thinking ahead. Up for a bonus, I'm sure.
It could get ugly fast.
Keep cheering.
