Obama approves locality pay increases

President Barack Obama on Monday approved locality pay changes beginning in 2016.

In an Executive Order issued Nov. 30, the president said the locality pay increases average about 28.74 percent and cost $26 billion.

Wow. Get a raise for being inept and incompetent for a job you can't be fired from.

Still waaaay overpaid!

If government employees were held to the same standard as business employees are - there would be more productivity and less waste.

If government employees were required to be competent, qualified, and capable of doing the tasks associated with their job descriptions - there would be less of a requirement to hire contractors in addition to the government employees.

If government employees were allowed to be terminated like the business employees are, there would be fewer of them simply showing up for work and drawing a paycheck - while performing no productive work.

They can suck it up more than that! I finally got my first raise in 2 years. 1%! Before that it had been another 2 years but that raise was a whooping 2%. And they get paid a lot more than I do to start with!
