GOP Establishment Wants to Bring Back Romney to Fight Trump and Carson

Regardless of how you feel about Donald Trump and Ben Carson, you have to admit that their popularity is emblematic of a major sea change among conservative voters, just as Bernie Sanders represents a significant shift among liberal voters (full disclosure, I can’t stand any of them). Both cases reveal that the average American is absolutely tired of dealing with establishment politicians. They’re sick of being lied to by smooth talkers that don’t really have their best interest at heart, and don’t fulfill any of their promises.
These voters think that they’ve finally found an alternative in these candidates. As you might expect, the GOP establishment is not taking this development very well. Their race is not going according to plan. Their main man Jeb Bush was supposed to have this one in the bag, and no matter what they do they can’t seem to get their voters to take an interest in him.
You’d think that a light bulb would go off in their heads, and they’d realize that their voters are tired of getting screwed, and that maybe they should go ahead and start looking for candidates that at least resemble what their voters are looking for. However, that’s not in the nature of any establishment force. They are “immovable,” which is practically the definition of “establishment.”
Instead of adapting to a changing electorate, they will do everything in their power to maintain the status quo. Not surprisingly, this desperate attitude often results in incredibly stupid ideas and decisions .
According to other Republicans, some in the party establishment are so desperate to change the dynamic that they are talking anew about drafting Romney — despite his insistence that he will not run again. Friends have mapped out a strategy for a late entry to pick up delegates and vie for the nomination in a convention fight, according to the Republicans who were briefed on the talks, though Romney has shown no indication of reviving his interest.

Really dumb idea. Carson can win this.

I sent a message to the RNC telling them I wish now I had bought bonds with the money I sent them when Ronald Reagan was President because all I have to show for it is a form letter thanking me and the same Picture that hung next to Alex Keaton's nightstand on Family Ties

Bring him on.

Of course they want to bring back Romney. Any sign of Carson or Trump succeeding is a smack in the face to the consistent failures of the RNC. Even if they get him back the momentum is too strong for them to create yet another failure.

Trump is saying Carson won't be able to deal with his poor knowledge regarding foreign policy... I think he'll just build a bigger wall than Trump
