Blake Shelton heroically rescues men stranded in mudslide

Singer Blake Shelton has been busy.

The country star somehow found time between his busy schedule as a judge on 'The Voice' and as Gwen Stefani's new boyfriend to play the part of the hero on Friday when he rescued a group of strangers stranded near Ravia, Oklahoma.

Shelton, who is an avid lover of nature, was enjoying time outdoors when he spotted the four men -- Bryar and Lenyell Blanton, Adrian Poplin and Josh Turner -- in a tough situation near the Washita River.

The group's truck had become stuck after a mudslide close to the river and the men had been stranded for over two hours before Shelton came upon them, Byrar toldEntertainment Tonight.

Now that he's unloaded that ball and chain from around his neck he's freed himself up to do good things. For someone who has been through as much as he has one must commend his actions.
