Assad needs protection, but he can't look to the US for that, as Assad and Putin are against Al Quaida and friends. Obama is supporting them there.

I suspect Putin told Ob "Russia is for Russians, NOT Muslims."
Looks to me Ob has decimated our Military in preparation for his Martial Law takeover, leaving us unprotected nationally..
