If the beer and wine license request can’t fit the code, perhaps the code can be adjusted to fit the request.
Back in June, family-owned movie theater chain Fox Theatres requested a hearing before the Board of License Commissioners — the county board responsible for issuing and enforcing liquor licenses and their orbiting legislation — seeking a Class B license for the uptown location.
Presumably, this is part of the recent $1.5 million rehabilitation project for the theater, which included a number of amenities such as reclining seats and retractable armrests.
The problem is a Class B license doesn’t really cover movie theaters — it’s usually used for restaurants.

Or I could just burn one on the way to the movie.
If you want to lay around on a lounger and drink adult beverages while watching movies why not wait for a DVD and watch it in the comfort of your home? You save money also! I don't get it.
...Mark Cuban's line of movie theaters(I forget the name of them) already sell beer. It's pretty sweet actually.
Just do what is done in Ocean City, pay off people to get it.
Sneak em in.
Bring them in under your coat or in a purse like we do at the Wicomico Youth building when we want to drink at an event.
NFL games would be nice in movie theaters too while we're going there, especially in areas where there are no NFL viewing centers(like ours).4 games each Sunday based on the viewing popularity and the Monday and Thursday night games.Playoff games and the eventual Super bowl would of course be in theaters after the regular season. One might be surprised and even shocked at how many people would pay to see an NFL game on a big screen.MMA fights were shown in an OC theater and they were amazing.
