Baltimore City Councilman Nick Mosby is running for mayor.
The freshman councilman kicked off his campaign at a rally in West Baltimore on Sunday.
A Democratic councilman for a district that encompasses the swath of West Baltimore most directly impacted by the April 27 riot, Mosby is the husband of State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, who is prosecuting six officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray.
His entry into the race was widely anticipated after Rawlings-Blake announced she wouldn't seek re-election.
Mosby, 36, has positioned himself as a reform-minded politician.

May God help Baltimore , better yet , the hell with Baltimore.
Baltimore is the armpit of Maryland.
He lives and breaths Liberalism, so what is new? This is another Dynasty like Clinton / Bush. Maryland is all ready destroyed for the next 50 years so why complain now?
Mosby twins two of a kind, cheats, and crooks, and two people who find telling the truth so darn hard to do.
So, now family represents qualifications? The words "King" and "Queen" come to mind.
What about his qualifications?
That doesn't matter?
