WASHINGTON — A crash between a bicycle and a SUV in Davidsonville, Maryland escalated into a road rage incident, leaving the bike rider with a broken arm and rib, Anne Arundel County police said.
The incident occurred at around 11 a.m. Saturday at St. George Barber and Governors Bridge Roads.
Police said the cyclist was riding south on St. George Barber, approaching Governors Bridge, when an SUV approached behind him. As the vehicle drew closer, the cyclist waved him to pass, police said.
Upon reaching a curve in the roadway, the cyclist traveled to the middle of the road in order to be visible to oncoming traffic and to block the SUV from passing on this curve.

The biker decided he was a traffic cop and got in the middle of the road to make sure no one could pass him? ON A CURVE??? What made him think he needed to be "visible" to traffic in the OTHER LANE?!
With that, I'm POSITIVE he didn't do any other actions to make a guy driving a 3000 pound machine angry??
Most people don't jump out of their cars to beat and destroy because the guy had a hat he didn't like.
Another example of someone thinking "the law" is going to protect him.
"The law" was busy on the main highway looking for those terrorists not wearing a seat belt. Or watching for a terrorist tuning his radio.
What's the difference between a driver deliberately irritating drivers behind him ("I can do 55 in the left lane for 40 miles!! It IS the speed limit, so they can just follow me and shut up!") and a cyclist doing 10MPH is a 45 MPH zone?? A ace-whipping and a broken bike, that's what.
I'll bet that cyclist starts staying to the right from now on....and leaves traffic enforcement to people with guns.
The SUV driver should NOT have tried to pass on a curve.
Bike people suck. Take up whole lanes. And are very ignorant.

Motorcyclist suck too, the weave in and out of traffic, cut you off, are noisy and disrespectful of other drivers. Throw Dow Flakes on the road and watch them slip and fall, great laughs!
