$11,000 in damage and they each pay just $200 in fines? A slap on the wrist - pathetic. How about washing cars and windows for the rest of the summer?
Probation? This is absurd! All the money people had to pay to fix the things they damaged not to mention all the man hours the police spent finding theses jerks. All wasted. No wonder people keep committing crimes. There is NO punishment when they do get caught. This was NOT an accident. They knew what they were doing and should have been punished for it. Their fine was probably less than what people had to pay for their deductible for their insurance to cover the damage.
I can agree with the probation but they should have been ordered to pay restitution and fined an amount equivalent to the damage they did. Also at least 300 hundred hours of community service to be completed by the end of the summer to keep them busy and away from doing any more mischief.
They learn they dont have to pay for their crimes in school. The administration and board of ed do not allow students to be punished for their "crimes". They destroy things, curse out teachers, skip class and nothing happens. This is exactly what happen on a daily basis in our schools. Ive been teaching for 20 years and it is getting really bad. I dont see it getting better either. If you can afford it, get your kids out.
You've got to be kidding me. There absolutely has to be more to this. No restitution? Maybe the insurance companies will go after them in civil court, as well as the victims to get the deductibles back? Does that ever happen? And, by the way, these kids are now heroes in their peers eyes. Fame... fame is all they want. No matter the cost.
Hopefully most were no worse than the "LOL" on the window of the black convertible in the picture. A bit of WD-40, paint remover and a cleaning rag, might take 15 minutes or so to clean up. Still, they should have been the ones to do it, or pay someone else to do so.
I don't understand why they didn't have to pay restitution at the very least to those who had actual out of pocket damages. Most likely the damage was minor enough that the deductible was more than the cost of cleaning it up, if the owner had compressive insurance on their vehicle. And even if it was enough to turn in a claim, their insurance rates will no doubt go up as a result.
Restitution was the only way Justice would be served...and it was apparently not. Shame on the judge for not making them reimburse the owners.
2:31 Cut the "white privilege" nonsense. If they'd been black, it would have most likely been far more damage and thefts.

Time to replace the judge that issued this slap on the wrist.
And then we wonder why mass shootings happen. Because they have never payed for the littler things that they did.
Horrific judge---liberal wackos all of them
They should have been given 1-2 years of prison

And these kuds are nit known for their good behavior.

Pure example of "White Privilege".
2:31. More like "Liberal Privilege"
And where will these two be going to college this fall? I hope that it won't be someplace where they'll immediately be stupid-famous.

Who was the judge?
Kinda like the looters in Baltimore? Wait, they didn't get arrested. Yawn.
