It took a black man's signature to begin the practice of slavery in America.

It took a white man's signature to end it.

The Republicans of yesterday year are not the same Republicans of today. I am a long time member and not at all sure I should be.

Also while I know Obamacare is not the complete answer to health care for all Americans I don't see a viable Republican plan. I am just thankful that my family has a very good health plan that is not available to everybody. Because good health plans are still based on paying more and having the right employment. There are many hard working people who continue to lack what is needed. Am I and my family privileged? Of course we are and somewhat accidently at that.

We should make posters of this and put them up everywhere.
I feel so sad for the folks who have been literally held in economic and social slavery by the democrats for decades. The dems have intentionally created a permanent underclass to serve them and keep them in power.
And they keep voting for them..

The dumbocrats want to - and have...reenslaved them - and they want it - as evidenced by their ongoing voting for handouts and handout supporters!

Laziness overpowers the common sense which would allow them to succeed to higher levels than they imagine. Consider the Tuskegee Airmen - they were given an opportunity, worked their butts off and made a significant historical legacy!

Republicans don't need a plan. Government shouldn't be involved in health care in the first place.

You have no clue what you are talking about. You sound to me like you are one of the lazy entitlement whores who want free insurance.

You don't see a viable Republican Plan for healthcare for all Americans? Well there is one in place, but you have to be intelligent enough to figure it out.

It's called getting a job! A job that pays health care benefits do and they are out there. Obamacare is making many employers now give up healthcare options or go out of business because they can't afford it. So you think this is a much better plan? Please go ahead and switch parties.

That used to be the case, in our parents' generation. You went to school, then college (if you didn't join the military), got a job at a company making a modest but livable wage with benefits that included a modest pension as well as health insurance. You put your 30 or 40 years in, and retired.

Now, thanks to corporate greed, (on the part of insurance companies as well) and the decline of collectively bargained jobs, few employers offer medical insurance as part of the compensation. In many cases, what is offered requires an unaffordable premium payment each month, or is inadequate entirely. And with the ACA fiasco forced on employers, full time jobs are being cut to 19 or 20 hours a week to avoid paying the healthcare costs.

Full time jobs with real benefits are rare and getting harder to obtain. It isn't so easy, as to just "go get another job".

They simply don't exist for many people.

You're correct, 12:22, it's always someone else's fault,isn't it?

To Anonymous Anonymous: Not only do you not read too well, you really do not know what you are talking about. Like I said my health care is excellent and I got it through my work. I would have no problem taking my injured child to the medical location recommended by our hospital/doctor. Our insurance would pay for it.

Just recently another couple's child was seriously injured while playing and their child was denied the opportunity for treatment paid by their insurance. Finally after five days the insurance company gave in. The thing about it is the parent has an important job requiring advanced education with a major local employer and gets their families insurance through his employer.

There are no guarantees everybody is able to purchase the same coverage from different employers at the same rate or is even able to purchase the same coverage at any rate.

In fact another family I know has both parents working. One parent works for the company with the poor insurance above. So they can avoid getting the bad insurance through the company above the second parent works a professional job primarily because the insurance they signed up for with the second employer is so much better.

It is hard to understand how some people can have so little life experience and be so dense.
