Walmart, Pathmark, A&P, Waldbaum’s Bring Up Rear In Latest Supermarket Survey

Walmart may still be the nation’s most shopped-at supermarket chain, but it’s far from the most beloved. In fact, in the latest ratings of 68 supermarket chains published by our colleagues at Consumer Reports, Walmart had the worst satisfaction score from readers.

I don't know what people see in the grocery side of Walmart. The prices can almost always be beaten at other stores and the cleanliness is always better elsewhere. And the annual fruit fly infestation is legend in Walmart's fruit section.

Tried their NY Strip, inedible and is was not priced much lower than other markets.

aww shucks - will have to continue with Food Lion and Walmart. The Bestest on list, Trader Joe's, Costco, Publix or Wegmans cannot be found here on the Shore

8:14 None of the stores mentioned in the article rated high in produce and meats which are the main stays of a human diet. This because they are all selling the same garbage. Trader Joe's rated best in organic produce is all probably because they go one step more than the USDA definition of organic which has been watered down to suit the interest of Big Agri Business like Dole.

I can't remember the last time I was in Walmart. There is one pretty close to my home, but I just can't find a good reason to shop there.

Very detailed studies show that our area will not support the stores mentioned in the comments.

I Make a trip each month to Annapolis to shop at Trader Joes and Whole Foods. The prices are actually cheaper than here, I guess because it isn't trucked over the bay, and the quality is the the best! Acme in Easton is also a very nice store. It's shame I have to leave Salisbury to fine choice and selection in food. I can't stand Walmart and only shop there as a last resort. We need better in Salisbury!!!!!
