U.S. Nerve Gas Hit Our Own Troops in Iraq

During and immediately after the first Gulf War, more than 200,000 of 700,000 U.S. troops sent to Iraq and Kuwait in January 1991 were exposed to nerve gas and other chemical agents. Though aware of this, the Department of Defense and CIA launched a campaign of lies and concocted a cover-up that continues today.

A quarter of a century later, the troops nearest the explosions are dying of brain cancer at two to three times the rate of those who were farther away. Others have lung cancer or debilitating chronic diseases, and pain.

More complications lie ahead.

According to Dr. Linda Chao, a neurologist at the University of California Medical School in San Francisco, “Because part of their brains, the hippocampus, has shrunk, they’re at greater risk for Alzheimer’s and other degenerative diseases.”

At first, the DOD was adamant: No troops were exposed.

The Dept of Defense (and the CIA) absolutely knew these soldiers were being exposed. If you've ever seen the protocols for handling these materials, you'd know that it's next to impossible to follow them in a war zone.
Their 'representatives', who gush over our "heroes" and their undying loyalty to them, really have no problem at with throwing them on the heap of bodies they gleefully send to their deaths (gleefully, because it COULD be one of their kids, but YOURS are better).
Remember that the next time one of these elitist, slimy, pedophilic "leaders" says how much they "honor and salute the bravery and service of our soldiers".
Serfs are cannon fodder that allow the wealthy to sell MORE guns, bombs and missiles. If that means YOUR kid dies, well, someone has to make the sacrifice and besides, there's a mansion on the cliffs in Hawaii they really want to buy.
Keep cheering!

My dad was in a chemical unit over there. He was cut out of his mop suit to early and got bit by mustard gas. He later was diagnosed with throat cancer. To the army's credit while he was going through treatment he was assigned 3 privates who drove him back and forth to Hopkins. When he retired they gave him full disability because this may have caused his cancer. Not saying what they did to cover it up was right but at least in my dad's situation they made an effort to make it right. He was lucky and has been cancer free for 6 years

Twenty four years out and it's only now that Gulf War vets are being believed. Shame on DoD, VA and the whole lot of them. Didn't they learn from Viet Name that poisoning your own troops would come back on them?

if they can prove this its time for our politicians to get on the bandwagon and help the vietvets exposed to agent orange the VA has identified 13 diseases or medical conditions brought on by exposure to agent orange why are they still dying without any help this is a sorry country we live in to let ANY veteran suffer

9:51AM has nailed it. From Pearl Harbor to Viet Nam to Iraq to WTC & 9/11 our 'leaders' have thrown the people of this nation under the bus only to further their own agenda. They are bred w/o conscience and taught from childhood to use or delete human life for their own purposes. And, now you know why the rest of the world feels as they do about America.

Just another reason to fleece the taxpayers of some dough.
Make up these ridiculous claims that can't be proven one way or another and go to court.

Of course it can't be won in court 5:50PM.., the courts are bought and the evidence classified. How TF are going to beat that?

Did this wake any on you up? How much more do you need to see to finally realize that our gov't does not care about us, the earth or anything else besides power and money?

Rise up before it is too late.
