PGPD officer killed in crash in Lanham

LANHAM, Md. (WJLA) -- A Prince George's County police officer was killed in a crash around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in Lanham.

It happened between the NASA facilities and Good Luck Road in the 9500 block of Greenbelt Road in Lanham.

The road was shut down for several hours.

Sorry for the loss. But I'm sure the officer was traveling at a high rate of speed and maneuvering in an unsafe fashion on bad roads just to make a traffic stop/ couple bucks for big brother. Smdh. It amazes me how a cop can do an illegal u turn, speed, weave traffic to catch up just to tell us we are wrong for speeding etc. Break laws to get people. His life was worth more than that fine!
