Report: Apples, Not Caramel Deemed Responsible For December Listeriosis Outbreak

A December outbreak of listeriosis linked to several kinds of prepackaged caramel apples may be over, but regulators say they now know it was the apple, not the caramel that led to the death of seven people and the sickening of 35 others.

the corporations seek Higher profit...they dont care how.. illegal workers, exploitation of laws, genetic altering, and mass production of food. Something bad is bound to happen. Seems our BOE also sees Food recycling as a money-saving venture too! If funds don't exsist for books and the classroom needs, but do for overpriced new schools, old school demolition (funded by but nothing to do with education) BOE lunches, and a bunch of overpaid PHDs in basket weaving running the place. What do you expect. you don't expect them to not skim from the federal welfare lunch program dollars!!!

Lots of luck sneaking caramel into a school lunch under Moochie's guidelines (er, edicts).
