Interesting, Someone Just Happened To Have A Camera On Hand...

#1, While this is a wonderful gesture, it leaves me wondering. Was the person physically disabled or was the vehicle disabled?

#2, Was it just the men who stood there watching Chief Barbara Duncan struggle with the heavy tire in the trunk or was it the Chief who had to prove she's a bigger bad a$$ then the men? I should add, or, were the men stepping aside for the Ireton/Duncan style photo op?

#3, How many Salisbury Police Officers does it take to change a tire?

No matter what, it's a great gesture by the SPD. The camera, not so much.

Maybe the tire change comes with a free pizza and a thug hug.

Believe it or not, Barb Duncan has many fans who support her. This blog doesn't reflect that and this comment probably won't get posted, which is a shame, because I would like to think that Sbynews is more fair than that. No one knows the FACTS surrounding this photo, but I commend her for stopping to help a citizen. I'm sure Mike Lewis and Gary Baker would have done the same if need be. Since when is being a good human being up for ridicule. Great work Barb and company.

Buzz off, we criticize whomever Joe tells us to criticize, OK?

Photo op. TRUST ME, if this wasn't a set up for a photo op, SHE would have called for an officer to do it. NO WAY that lazy bum would have touched that tire. SHE wouldn't have stopped either.

Staged if ever I saw a staged pic. If they were doing it out of the kindness of their heart, a photo would not have been taken. They made sure they all got their pic in. It doesn't take 3 cops to change a tire...well, maybe in salusbury it does. Nice how they conveiently posted it to their own Twitter account, it wasn't posted by an independent source. I guess even duncan likes selfies.

Awhile back I blew out a tire late at night and pouring down rain miles from any gas station,a MD state trooper helped me change the tire but befor could he took my spare which was really low up the road and got it inflated.Md state troopers are first class people.

The scenario was much different I'm sure. The patrol officer probably pulled behind the disabled vehicle to run the plates and run a check on the driver for convictions, priors, gun permits and such. In the process discovered the potential perp was really just a disabled motorist with a flat tire. He decided to be a decent person and help. Good job.Don't understand how the chief and a Col. ended up on scene. Maybe they were passing by and decided to help.

Hey 2;37 it does take 3 people to change a tire, one to hold the tire and the other 2 people to keep flipping the car till the lug nuts are tight

This is why I don't change tires while on duty. If you have a drivers license then you should know basic vehicle maintenance. Plus there's always some a-hole waiting to video tape you to try to spin it in a negative light.
