D.C. Council to consider banning suspensions of preschoolers

WASHINGTON (AP) - A D.C. Council committee will hold a hearing on a bill that would ban out-of-school suspensions for preschoolers.

Council member David Grosso introduced the bill last month, and all 10 of his colleagues have signed on as co-sponsors.

A report released last year by the District superintendent's office found that 181 pre-kindergarten students were suspended from District public schools during the 2012-2013 school year.

If they ban the suspensions, the 90% thug group will not be held accountable for disrupting the classes....

Yes it's only KinderGarten - but if you teach them they can get away with stuff at that age, next thing you know, they're jacking cars.....

Society needs to learn that suspensions are not designed to benefit the offender. They are designed to keep the students and teacher safe from unprovoked attack by a menace. Very young kids throw chairs when angry or hit other kids in the head with a lunch pail or book or whatever. These are not harmless acts.
