OCPD CRASH RECONSTRUCTIONISTS INVESTIGATE SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION

On January 23, at approximately 7 a.m. Ocean City Police and Paramedics responded to the area of Baltimore Avenue and 6th Street in reference to single-vehicle traffic collision. The driver was unconscious when officers arrived and CPR was initiated. Ocean City EMS transported the driver to Atlantic General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival. The driver has been identified as Walter Milan Corey, 56, of Ocean City, MD.

Members of the Ocean City Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit responded and later determined that the vehicle had veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Police are unsure at this time what caused Corey to veer off the roadway. Autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are pending.
