Now that Ebola is officially in the US on an uncontrolled basis, the two questions on everyone's lips are i) who will get sick next and ii) how bad could it get?
We don't know the answer to question #1 just yet, but when it comes to the second one, a press release three weeks ago from Lakeland Industries, a manufacturer and seller of a "comprehensive line of safety garments and accessories for the industrial protective clothing market" may provide some insight into just how bad the US State Department thinks it may get. Because when the US government buys 160,000 hazmat suits specifically designed against Ebola, just ahead of the worst Ebola epidemic in history making US landfall, one wonders: what do they know the we don't?

Would you rather our government be unprepared for the worst? It seems like this is just really simple provisioning.
Just because there is no rain in the forecast doesn't mean you don't pack a rain jacket on your camping trip!
Maybe the administration wants it to spread. Another on the long list of reasons to declare martial law and stay in office.
there is no stopping this now. Once upon a time a total of 90 victims was considered a worst case disaster and the country clamped down on the boarders and things were sealed off for the protection of the rest of the world. It was well known since the early cases that this disease is something that once out of the bottle will be unstoppable. I am really confused why the CDC changed all guidelines recently. I have to admit that it has crossed my mind that this is happening by no accident. The medical knowledge has not changed so why did no one sound the alarm in the beginning when this was clearly out of control. The only thing that has changed is the pathetic manner in which this has been handled. They know the end result will change the planet. Can you imagine even 5 cases in PRMC? The medical community will quickly collapse with the numbers of people infected with no insurance and workers will walk away in fear for their own lives. The medical community will surely be tested. It is estimated that for every 1 infected person there is at least 100 contacts after they have become contagious before they are isolated. How fast do you think this will spread with these statistics? This is not negative thinking....this is reality.
