Worcester County Sheriff's Office
On September 20 around 11:45 pm Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to assist the Snow Hill Police Department with a fight on Cypress Lane near Dighton Ave. Upon arrival there was a disorderly crowd in the street. A male that was believed to be involved in the fight was initially detained. This detention upset a juvenile female who attempted to interfere in the arrest. The juvenile was subsequently arrested by Snow Hill Police Department. The arrest of the juvenile sparked an unruly female, April Jackson 34 of Berlin, to become upset about the arrest of the juvenile. Jackson was given several orders to back away or face arrest. Jackson failed to comply with the orders and a Deputy began to passively move her back and Jackson pushed the Deputy. The Deputy responded by immediately arresting Jackson who responded by resisting the arrest. Several other Deputies responded to the scene and assisted with Jackson's arrest. The male initially detained was released without charges. Jackson was later seen by a District Court Commissioner for charges of Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, Fail to Obey a Lawful Order, Obstruct and Hinder, and Resist Arrest. Jackson was released pending a trial on October 28, 2014 in the District Court of Snow Hill.

when will we hear the real story?
and the one first arrested which started all this was released without charges? so the cops arrested someone for no real reason. looks like the cops made things worse yet again
"juveniles" should not be out in a disorderly crowd at 11:45pm (weekend or not) I guess their parents let them roam around at all hours.
Excellent work deputy!
Ok people, you need to learn from others and don't make the same mistakes. Notice the report says...
"Upon arrival there was a disorderly crowd in the street."
Please get your crowd ORDERLY before the cops show up. Then they can't say it was disorderly.
I'd love to read a police report where they report that upon arrival there was an orderly crowd gathered in the street.
