Shot for a seatbelt violation on his way home from work by a pussy gun carrying punk "officer of the peace". How are all you gestapo defenders going to spin this one into a "good shoot"? The man was doing what the "officer" told him to do, was he not? This is exactly why kops are seen as the enemy instead of respected. By the way, this has nothing to do with race to me. I am curious...what makes the driver a thug? Is it him coming home from work? And I didn't see him "jump" in the front seat to get a weapon. That cop didn't lose his career, he shot it away!

Retired cop, never allow a person once outside of the vehicle to return. Since the cop told him to get his licence, cop is wrong, not a justifiable shooting in my opinion. Cop must be able articulate why he shot an unarmed man. Not all blacks are thugs.

I really really wish that were true. If it was, we could get rid of many more.

I'm an old white guy and I don't always have my wallet in my pocket as it causes discomfort on long drives.My dad was a cop so I'm not a cop hater.This guy did nothing wrong and the cop overreacted to his movements.Some cops are way too eager to shoot these days and if this one lost his job then so be it. Perhaps he doesn't have the right temperament for that kind of situation.
