House approves Ron Paul’s ‘Audit the Fed’ bill

Bill approved on a 333-92 vote

Former Rep. Ron Paul’s push to audit the Federal Reserve got another boost Wednesday when the House passed the bill for the second time in three years, and by a bigger margin than before.

The bill, now sponsored by Rep. Paul Broun, Georgia Republican, was approved on a 333-92 vote, with all but one Republican and 106 Democrats in favor of it. That’s a major jump from last time, when a majority of Democrats voted against it.

Still, despite the overwhelming support, the law is likely to die. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who had previously indicated support for such an audit, reversed himself in 2012 and said he wouldn’t let the bill come to to the Senate floor.

Harry Reid is America's enemy and the sooner that is accepted the better off we'll all be. He is a greasy lying POS, one of the most Hell worthy humans ever to draw breath.

This is proof beyond reasonable doubt that Reid is the most anti -American Bastard in the country. No, wait, there's Barack, Nancy, Joe, the list goes on, Eric...

More wasted time and money. Nearly identical bill passed in 2012. Maybe Boner and his posse could have voted to repeal Obamacare for the 55th time instead.

3:49. You say wasted time and I'm sure you say do nothing congress and I'm sure you say republicans are the problem well they have done something which is pass this bill to try and reign in the fed which is destroying the dollar it is Reid that is the problem. He alone is deciding what bills are brought to the floor of the senate

8:36 your missing my point. Knowing that Reid is not going to bring the bill to the floor, why waste our time and money doing it anyway. It is only political grandstanding. As is the 54 votes to repeal obamacare. What I'm SAYING the problem is that with ALL of them. Limit ALL of them to (1) term to office. Only then will they be forced to pass meaningful legislation for ALL of us. This has to stop, from everything only being about their re-election. Collective, tough, and unpopular decisions HAVE to be made very soon. Our survival as a nation depends upon it. Eliminating their constant bid for re-election would bring forth candidates with the stones to get the job done. Political office can NOT be a carrer choice. The two concepts are contradictory.
