Eastern Shore School Closing Early Because Of Sick Students

CAPE CHARLES, Va. (WAVY) – Occohannock Elementary School on Virginia’s Eastern Shore is closing early Friday because of a high number of sick children.

School spokesperson Pam Lilliston told WAVY.com a large number of students at the school are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, so they are sending students home at 1 p.m.

The elementary school is in Exmore and is part of the Northampton County Public Schools system.

1:18 Unfortunately, when hispanic children are sick, they stay home. Can't say the same for the non hispanic children, as their parents need that time to get on facebook, and drink heavily.
