Confederate Flag Doesn't Belong On License Plates

Can a state ban license plates that display the Confederate flag?

A court of appeals in Louisiana recently ruled that the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Board violated a nonprofit organization's free speech rights when it denied the Sons of Confederate Veterans' application for a specialty license plate featuring the Confederate flag.

The court waded into a controversial issue that has roiled the politics of several states. In Georgia, which has offered such plates for more than 10 years, State Sen. Jason Carter, the grandson of President Jimmy Carter, has intimated that if he is elected governor of Georgia, he will not stop the state from issuing license plates featuring the Confederate battle flag. He has said citizens have a right to the Sons of Confederate Veterans-backed license plate, which features a stylized Confederate flag.

If someone put the real Confederate flag on that license plate most people wouldn't have a GD clue what it was. The battle flag is the only one getting the attention. It's all just more liberal idealist propaganda fueled by the ignorance.
The judge is correct in the ruling, it's a freedom of speech issue, no different then the ruling that makes it legal, if still unacceptable, for this same ebonics crowd to toss about MFers in the public midst like so many adjectives because of "ethnic background". No difference what so ever. For, that flag is emblematic of ethnic background and freedom of speech, too. So, what's fair for the goose.....

Anyone who sits around and dwells on something like this belongs in the insane asylum. They are weak people who need to get a backbone and not concern themselves with what other people do or say.

There is nothing historic about this flag/symbol outside of historically representing our nations past shame, hate and slavery.

9:16 seriously? have you looked at what our country has become today? Maybe we should ban the American flag since I am so disgusted at what this country has done to others in the name of freedom and democracy!

It is not any more offensive than an OBAMA sticker on the back of a car, usually one that I can't afford. To me that is a symbol of a Muslim, communist dictator actively destroying this country. Now THAT is offensive!!
