PARSONSBURG — Antique meets modern at the Route 346 Emporium in Parsonsburg. Billed as “5,000 square feet of treasures,” the Emporium contains everything from furniture to tools and art to memorabilia to collectibles.
As important as the items on sale is the atmosphere, which is open and neighborly, a throwback to the building’s original days as a community gathering spot at the turn of the 20th Century.
“The store actually opened in 1910 as a country store,” said co-owner Joe Holloway.
And it remained a country store up until Joe Holloway and his wife Faye decided to try something new starting in May of 2012. Since both enjoy collectibles, antiques and furniture, that’s what they decided to fill the large store with. It’s a combination of business and hobby that the Holloways are passionate about.

I love this shop! Very helpful people and great prices. I prefer to buy from these second hand stores because you can get some quality merchandise made in the USA to stock your kitchen and other rooms unlike the Made in China junk sold in places like Bed Bath and Beyond. No one could PAY ME to use inferiour products.
In Marshall's you can get quality like stoneware and china dishes made in England and glassware from Poland, Romania and other Eastern European countries.
I love the place. Shop there often.
Faye and Joe are great people, just bought our daughter a vanity and dresser.
I thought that was Tony Orlando, but if you say it's Joe Holloway I'm sure you are right.
Faye and Joe have a great business. I have found some great quality items in there. I found a cool mirror paid around $600 for it.
Love The Emporium in Pittsville. Great place to browse and purchase a piece of history, made in USA and quality. Joe and Faye are very hospitable so stop in and take a look...
