Baywater Animal Rescue Appoints Next Executive Director

Cambridge, MD – The board of directors of Baywater Animal Rescue is pleased to announce the appointment of Maureen Scott-Taylor as Executive Director. She follows Suzette Stitely who is retiring after five years with the organization.

Maureen comes to Baywater with a wealth of experience in both the public and private sector. Over the years she held marketing positions with the Tidewater Inn, Talbot County Chamber of Commerce and Easton Utilities. Most recently Maureen was Easton’s Director of Economic Development in addition to serving on the Easton Town Council. Maureen is also co-host of the Morning Rush on 96.7 WCEI radio based in Easton.

Maureen was a member of the Easton downtown business association; and later became a founding member of Easton Main Street. A member of the Easton Rotary Club since 1997, Scott-Taylor is Co-chair of the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Advisory Council, a Historic Easton Board member and a Waterfowl Festival volunteer for nearly 20 years. She chaired Easton’s 300th Anniversary Celebration in 2010 and co-chaired the Frederick Douglass Celebration Weekend in 2011.

“We are delighted to welcome Maureen to the Baywater Animal Rescue family,” states Jerilyn Gibbs, board president. “Her knowledge of marketing and economic development will be invaluable as we take this organization to the next level.”

Baywater Animal Rescue, a No Kill humane organization, is dedicated to the principle that every animal deserves to live.

i wish someone would take animal rescue seriously in the city of salisbury! the "animal control" department (which falls under the sby city police)is a disgrace. the government policies are a joke. the humane society's hands are tied. meanwhile the animals continue to suffer.

Ms Taylor appears to be an excellent choice for a position of Executive Director for any organization esp this one. Her volunteerism serves as a mode to know and interact with a lot of people which is most valuable in finding homes for the animals.
