A K-9 police officer in Indiana was filmed allegedly lifting his dog by its collar and then hitting it with its leash, resulting in him being placed on administrative leave while the department conducts an investigation.
A video of the unidentified Hammond, Indiana, officer was uploaded to YouTube Wednesday. While one officer tended to a suspect who had his hands on the hood of a police cruiser, the other officer was filmed “whipping” the German shepherd.

I can't believe he didn't shoot the dog for not complying to an officer's commands.
Is that one of the oh so rare 'bad cops', or is what he did completely justified and not against any law or police policy like every other abuse they do?
hardhead lol
You should see how they treat their families too!
He should be fired.
I can't wait to see how the "investigation" will exonerate him of any wrongdoing. ONLY cops get to break the law, take a paid vacation while an "investigation" takes place, and then return to work, no problem.
I hope he doesn't have a wife and kids. His boyfriend should be worried, too.
If a citizen were to do that, he/she would be charged with assaulting an officer. The "Criminal On Patrol" should suffer the same fate.

The DOG is a "sworn police officer", although the dog may or may not have agreed to that.
Now, if the dog had BITTEN the cop, what a conundrum. Officer attacks officer who attacked him. Which one goes to jail?
Answer? Neither one. Both are above the law they so stridently enforce against non-badge carrying peasants.
On a side note, I like the way you think, 10:58.
