The Justice and Education Departments are teaming up to remind public schools that they are required to provide all children with equal access to education at the elementary and secondary level regardless of their parents' or guardians' citizenship or immigration status.
The "dear colleague," letter to schools providing guidance to schools on their legal obligations comes as the departments say they have "become aware of student enrollment practices that may chill or discourage the participation, or lead to the exclusion, of students."

Well it looks like immigration reform is here already without a vote.
Your tax dollars paying for illegals.. move to Mexico and try to put your kid in one of their schools and see what happens. We need to put them on a bus and send them home.. if they want to come to America do it legally.
Ok, let the children stay, get an education, learn English and get a job to support themselves and not USE a baby to welch off of the system. Put the children in a good foster care program with a good home and send the parents back to their native country or home. Then maybe, the educated children can go back and make a change for the rest of them and teach them a better way of life.
Sorry.. they all need to be sent back. Let them come in legally. For the idiot who thinks they want to learn.. go to a school in LA and then say that.

At least those kids want to learn rather than some of "american" kids that go to school to deal drugs and rape girls.

What makes you think they want to learn? Where did you get that information? Please tell us and cite your source.
I am sick of working my ass off to pay for and support moochers in this country. Especially illegal moocher. This should have every red blooded Americans blood boiling.
This is what happens when you ignorant, misguided, uninformed morons vote for Democrats.
All right - here's the deal. Maintain a B average and no disciplinary problems and you're good. Fall out of that category and you and your undocumented family get a one-way ticket.
4:43 Your working so hard that your on this blog making comments. I call BS
Maybe they can teach the Americans how to make a good Taco , or become a good gang member.
"At least those kids want to learn"..They do not. Do your research. Second/third generation Hispanics do worse than their parents. On average they are future welfare beneficiaries.
And according the to the latest research hispanics live longer than whites. Our children have a long way to go in feeding not only the anchor babies, but also their moms, pops and grandparents.
There are perfectly good schools in Mexico. It's not all cactus, tequila, guns and sombreros on dirt roads. They have pavement, skyscrapers, and some of the best higher learning establishments.
Don't bite on this hook!
