CHESTERTOWN — Roses Discount Store, a fixture of the Kent Plaza shopping center for 26 years, will be closing its doors.
Wilson Sawyer, president of Roses, said in a phone interview Wednesday, May 7, that the store’s landlord, the Cordish Companies, told Roses it has another use for the space. “We will be leaving before Aug. 1,” when the lease runs out, he said.

Wonder how much longer the Roses store here in Salisbury will be still in business.
Chestertown would still be open if slumlord didn't choose not to renew their lease.
I didn't even know there was a Roses in Salisbury. I go to the one in Millsboro since it is closer to me than Salisbury. I really like Roses.
Please tell us where the Roses' is in Salisbury - I use to go to one in Pocomoke, until it closed probably 10 years ago.
Salisbury Rose's is in the shopping center off Rt. 50 by the Salisbury police barracks, next to Save-a-lot & Powerhouse gym.
2:38 Don't know if it's closer to you but there is a Roses in Onancock VA. It's about 45 min from Pocomoke right on Rt 13 at the corner where if you are southbound you would make a right to go into the town of Onacock.
