Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake
Every year over 3 million referrals are made to Child Protective Services involving over 6 million children. A report of child abuse is made every 10 seconds in the United States and many cases of child abuse go unreported. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Chesapeake wants to ensure that the community, especially those in it that interact with children regularly have the knowledge and skills to identify the signs of child abuse. Furthermore we want to ensure that you know how navigate a situation in which a child discloses abuse to you. In this training, these, as well as other topics related to abuse will be discussed.
