Anthony Brown Campaign For Governor Hires Lobbyist As Adviser

BALTIMORE —The gubernatorial campaign of Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown is receiving scrutiny with a new addition to the payroll.

A lobbyist from one of the state's most connected firms switched hats and joined the campaign a few months ago, the WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team has learned.

Campaign ethics experts said there's nothing illegal or wrong about putting a lobbyist on the campaign payroll but they ask, "Why would you?" considering the types of questions that might be raised.

Well, folks, are you getting the picture yet? Lobbyists as advisers?

Who is "advising" your county executive?

Who is "advising" your mayor?

The more politically and party connected they are, the more you should be asking questions.

At least one media outlet was questioning what Brown was doing.

The Daily Times will never question anyone here.

Idiots do stupid things. So, what's the big deal?

But, but, but, most Marylanders are not even paying attention. Anthony Brown is a DEMOCRAT - for them that's enough.

The "Free State" is no longer free. Nothing about it is "Free" and may never be again.

One Party State IS the very definition of Communist.

Why do you people even spend time and energy complaining about who is running for Governor? Your votes don't and won't count in the election. The western shore decides who is elected.

Gansler is the best of the Dems - which is a sorry state of affairs.

Sticks foot in mouth a lot - surprising for a skilled lawyer - does nothing about underage drinking at a party he's at, etc., etc.

This Dem is supporting the Craig-Haddaway ticket. Craig isn't flashy, so he probably won't win in this celebrity-pretty boy worshipping state, but he's experienced, smart and has common sense. His running mate is, too, and a Shorewoman.
