Pollitt Tax To The Max Proposal

Personal income tax in FL = 0%! Property tax rate is 2% of purchase price and if homesteaded the taxable value can only be increased by 3% per year. That is the value of the property not the tax. Hmm?
Pollitt is actually asking for less than tax to the max by raiding the County's reserve funds, like O'Malley has done at the state level, to balance his proposed FY15 budget.

Why can't spending be cut that much? It doesn't seem like the amt these higher taxes will bring in is hardly worth the anguish & effort.
