We had them Cater our office picnic to two years. It was awful! The chicken wasn't barbecued.
It was chicken that was in a steamer and they squirted their "famous daves" sauce on the chicken and then served it to us. Like having unflavored chicken with ketchup. It was served with canned baked beans and a half a corn cob. Sucked!!!! Could have done better at home. Nothing was barbecued.
Maybe the restaurant was better, but based on the catering, I didn't want to waste my money!

If they can not spell you it is no wonder they went out of business.

@2:26, with all your pent up anger it's no wonder that one went right over your head.

At least they provided employment. According to an earlier article I saw, they had 45 employees, and that ain't no easy feat.

Thanks Famous Dave's - you will be missed.

I for one am glad they are gone. The last thing this town needs is another chain restaurant. The fact is their food was terrible as was the service. When they opened I was happy to try it but was wildly disappointed. I gave it another 2 shots over the next few years. Same results.

On the bright side no other local BBQ joints went out of business. And in my opinion a locally owned bbq joint that is not based on flashy advertisemnts is needed aroudn here, and I mean a dedicated BBQ only place. Emmings is a bit of a drive from Salisbury.
