“The Girl Scouts was once a trusted organization dedicated to character building in young girls and women. Now, GSUSA is abusing that trust,” said Judie Brown, president of American Life League, the nation’s oldest Catholic pro-life education and advocacy group.
“Most parents and grandparents remain painfully unaware the GSUSA has introduced so-called ‘family planning’ ideology in its curriculum and promotes groups like Planned Parenthood to our daughters and granddaughters,” she said.

I don't even like Girl Scout cookies but I can't pass up the girls when they are selling them. I end up spending 20 bucks or so on them and pawning the things off on any guests that show up at my house.

It's all about MONEY. Donate to the organization that tickles your fancy, so the "leaders" can suck the money out for personal gain. The best to gain notoriety (and donations) is to attack a popular organization.

I just want to say that these anti-Girl Scout stories all propagate the same misinformation. I have been with Girl Scouts for 2 years now, and I can honestly say - as a CHRISTIAN - that there is no link or funding or what have you between PP and GS.
The same lies and misinformation have been spreading for years. Honestly, I assume most people that say these things have never been to their local Girl Scout council, talked with council employees or spoke with local GS troops. If they had, they would realize quickly that a large number of GS families are faith families.
In 2 years, I have never seen, nor heard, nor has it been suggested that we do anything with PP or "family planning" or sex. Please, before you boycott little girls fundraising to go camping and purchasing patches, just go check out REAL Girl Scouts for yourself. They often have many volunteer opportunities -- since everyone is holier than thou when it comes to "evil" GS -- why not volunteer for some community service with them and check out the organization first hand? See for yourself. Please don't believe everything you read on the internet.
