"Subject Locked In Car" Are you serious?

The subject locked in a vehicle was a service dog. A engine responded non-emergency to assist.

Would have been cheaper to take a taxi instead of an engine.

If this is going into official records, then may I suggest writing "Animal".

It sounds ludicrous the way it's written here.

Yes this was an ridiculous call that did not require a paid fire engine response. It doesn't matter what kind of dog it was, there wasn't an emergency so they should have contacted a lock smith. The Salisbury Fire Department is taking business away from a small business owner. It's no wonder businesses go belly up.

The Salisbury Fire Department is now responding a fire engine on EVERY ambulance call dispatched because of the snow. The road are clear and the sidewalks are clear so there is no need to respond a fire truck on any ambulance call for any reason.

Salisbury's "Paid" crew did not handle this call last night. This was handled by the volunteers from Station 1.
The Wicomico County Fire Service has had a long standing practice of assisting the public in gaining access to loved ones that cannot fend for themselves in this situation. INCLUDING ANIMALS. Again it is a "FREE" public service offered to all that travel through the county.

Wrong, a fire truck should respond to every ambulance call because paramedics are not allowed to ride in the ambulance. Current policy says they can only arrive on scene in a fire truck.
