Hold on to your feathers.
A major national flap has just been sparked by “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson, who calls homosexuality illogical, while proffering his male viewpoint preferring female anatomy to that of other men.
“It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man – would be more desirable than a man’s anus, ” says Phil Robertson. “That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
Robertson’s comments came in an interview with GQ magazine, where he championed biblical values and the battle against breaking God’s commandments.

You go Phil.
Phil's the Man! And to all the gays-You Can Kiss My Butt! I'm fed up with you all. Your pettiness and lack of a spine is disgusting. The word "tolerance" is foreign to you. You are nothing but a misguided pack of weasels, who quite frankly are digging your own graves of intolerance by others every single day.
To offer a slightly different interpretation.
One of the issues that might be bothering people are his narrow views of what being gay is. In reading his opinion he describes a purely sexual angle of what being gay means to him, specifically a male homosexual. There is much more that goes into what a relationship is than just sex. Are gay men loving, compassionate, able to talk through a problem? And just like the rest of Americans the answer is sometimes.
When I say his view is narrow I mean he is only looking at it from the sexual side of things. I do share his opinion on that.
But I have meet gay men and women and found them to be interesting, entertaining and open to discussing many topics including their own sexual orientation.
I do not think Phil's opinion is offensive. I think it is true. it is also likely a snippet of his opinion taken from a much larger argument. And when we try to abbreviate our well thought out opinions it usually leave much to be desired.
I think what we CAN draw from this is that Phil is uncomfortable living a gay life style. AKA the "its not for me" argument. He could have just left it at that but chose not too.
Free Speech does come with consequences and its difficult to say that A&E does not have the right to do what the reprieve as damage control.
Duck Dynasty is one of the few reality shows that does not glorify unchecked hostility and they focus on core family values. I will not boycott the show. I do however DVR it and skip the commercials.
GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) activists aren't glad at all. They are a group of nervous maniacs (mental problems) who are so afraid of Phil Robertson it is funny. In their minds they know they are a bunch of freakazoids and when the truth is spoken it not only burns them up but they are terrified of it spreading. Anyone secure in their beliefs aren't bothered one iota about an expressed opinion of someone else. Such silliness as this just marginalizes any real concerns and issues they may have.
Resorting to this type of pettiness just enhances those beliefs to some that something is terribly wrong in the heads of gay people.
Gays love to get their panties in a bunch
In thru the out door, is just not normal.
