The state of Maryland has reached a settlement with a Florida man who operated a website that investigators say posted misleading information about Marylanders.
The Attorney General's Office says it found that Joomsef.net was posting exaggerated information about the criminal histories of some individuals.
Philip Ziperman, Deputy Chief of the AG's Consumer Protection Division tells WBAL Radio they were getting complaints from people as they were either checking Internet posts about themselves or someone was doing a background check on them.
He says operator Stanislav Komsky of Florida would charge people who wanted the information taken down from the website. The price to do that ranged from $40 to $90.

Wow.... exaggerating "arrests"?
Do you think The MD. AG will go after Jim Ireton with regard to Joe's traffic citation?
