There's been a raw sewage main break near Boscov's at the Centre at Salisbury.
Here's the kicker. The raw sewage is draining into the storm water drain and eventually going directly to the River.
When concerned citizens called the Health Department they were placed on hold for what we're told was 35 minutes and when they finally got back on the line they simply said they'd handle it.

And no one will be held accountable. The MDE web site has 1338 sewage involved incidents already in 2013. As stated these releases will most likely end up in our water ways. They have plenty of money and time to go after The Hudson family for trumped-up charges & allegations but they remain silent when municipalities release their sewage. So tell me again Libs, who are the laws & regulations for..... to take away our freedoms & liberties?
Please people. Why would you even hold that long? And do you want them to tell you step by step what they are doing or just get on the job? Get a life. Maybe even a job.
anonymous 12:55, IF by chance this was happening at your personal home in Salisbury right now, (or business) and it wasn't under control quickly, how much in fines do you think you'd be getting by the City and the MDE? By the way, one of our people stopped by the Mall to see what was going on and guess what, NOTHING has been done after quite a few hours. The sewage is still coming out of the ground, hence the NEW image in this Post.
Haven't you got something better to do than chase a little sewage backup around? Public Works is working on it. Now crawl back into the septic tank you call a wife and go away.
anonymous 2:21, Is that all you've got? Of course none of Jim Ireton's friends are MAN enough to use their real names. Must be that twisted gay thing. Oh, that's right, now you guys can marry other men. So, who are you, the man wife or the gay husband?
Well, at least all the mall catch basins are piped to the stormwater pond and will be contained there until the pond can be pumped and cleaned up. However, it's gonna be a stinky night for Mill pond and Runaway Bay! I'm sure the trailer park will get a big whiff, too!
