This tactic has been used time and time again.In theory,"if" the profiler is right and the actual murderer is a serial killer that person will not allow the attention to shift away from himself.The father could very well be a party to this ploy.Now that the NSA has a total overview of communications worldwide that person just might slip up.Time will tell.
We knew this by watching the news back then. Why is this being brought up now?
